Day 1: Yeast Free


Hello ALL!

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend and for those of you that have off today .. well .. I am just JEALOUS!

Didn't have a horribly exciting weekend, because I had to wake up at the butt crack of dawn on Saturday for my clinical at the hospital. (HELLO 5:55 am, haven't seen you in well .. forever!)

So, thanks to the wonderful Stephanie (over at BEAUTIFUL mess) ... the BF and I have committed to the 30 day Yeast Free diet. And if you haven't checked out Steph's blog, please stop over there right ... NOW. And also check out her posts about the yeast free diet!

So we went to Whole Foods last night and bought a few staples :)
See below:


Must try this in a protein shake (as Steph suggests)


Almond Milk ... although I THINK we bought the wrong one!?
Is it supposed to be unsweetened, Steph?
 Ehh ... I might have to make a grocery store run tonight!


Black Bean Chili


Truvia.
I actually already use this sugar because it tastes WAYY
better than Splenda or any other sweetener, well at least I think so.




Hummus.


These are actually quite good ...
(I opened the bag already and tried a few)


Spaghetti Squash.
We are making this tonight with grilled chicken.
Recipe to come ... tomorrow hopefully :)
I have tried spaghetti squash before and it is surprisingly good.


Oh yes, and the BF and I made a Dunkin' Donuts run this weekend.
There are only like 2 Dunkin' Donuts near us and the one that is "sorta" close isn't really that close, so we made a special trip on Sunday and bought some K-cups too :)
Yum, I just love their coffee ... Oh and I may or may not have had a sprinkled donut and this is ONLY because I knew I was starting this diet today ... swear.

(notice the books and computer behind my coffee ... yes studying, again ..)
